NegOr youth organizations ask to register
by Jennifer Catan-Tilos

DUMAGUETE CITY, Sept. 23 (PIA)    Youth organizations in Negros Oriental are called on to register with the National Youth Commission (NYC) to support the Youth Organizations Registration Program (YORP).

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) here announced the nationwide registration of youth organizations to build linkage with NYC to facilitate a more active participation in its programs.

The registration is designed to link up with the commission as the YORP policy on registration has been changed to facilitate easy listing for youth organizations and active participation in its programs.

Youth organizations whether community-based, school-based, religious, out-of-school youth, young professionals, or youth with special needs, must have at least 15 members aged 15 to 30 years.

The registrants must fill up a registration form with directory of members and officers and certification or endorsement from the school, barangay or church, it stated.

The registration also helps provide the groups of youth for capacity building or training- workshops for their community development.

Interested youth organizations may follow the link http://nyc.gov.ph/national-youth-commission-policy-development/national-youth-commission-programs or contact the NYC Visayas Area office through landline, 032-268-9531 or email at nycvisayas@gmail.com and look for Queenie Dadulo or Maureen Fernandez.
