DUMAGUETE CITY, Feb 28 (PIA) -- The local government unit of
Dumaguete City joins the rest of the country in celebrating Women’s Month in
March with a series of activities spearheaded by the Kalipunan ng Liping
Pilipina (KALIPI), a women's group organized by the City Social Welfare and
Development Office (CSWDO)
The celebration kicks off tomorrow, March 1 with a Mass to be followed by a parade and a short program at 4 p.m. at the Quezon Park, with Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria to deliver an inspirational message.
To promote the thrust on empowerment and mobilization of every sector of the community, the city government will award the biggest contingent that participated in the parade and proclaim the winners of the slogan contest.
On March 3, Tayada sa Plaza at Quezon park will be held at 5 p.m. while clean-up and beautification activities at the Women's Center beside the CSWDO building is scheduled on March 6 and 7.
