DUMAGUETE CITY, July 9 (PIA) -- Eight students from Silliman
University of School of Basic Education and one from Holy Cross High School
qualified for an international mathematics competition in Hong Kong and
Singapore.
Nine students are now official members of the Philippine team competing in the
Search for the Asian Math Wizard in two categories: elementary and high school.
according to Mathematics Trainers Guild coordinator Rosanne Ferrer Salve of
Dumaguete Center.
Competing in Hongkong on July 24 to 28 are Grade 2 students Peter Martin
Nasvik, Jev Ulric Torres, and Carlos Miguel Angelo Salazar of Silliman
University and Joef Alphonse Ho of Holy Cross High School; Michah Edem, Grade 6
